Nestled right in the heart of downtown Royal Oak you’ll find one of the most drag-tastic places in Michigan, Five15. The fabulous staff puts on big production drag shows, Drag Queen Bingo, weekly trivia, and more which places it high on my list of top things to do in metro detroit.
In addition to the delicious food and cocktails, Five15 serves up drag performances year-round including their ever-popular Drag Queen Bingo shows. One could say they popularized the event in the area. Drag Queen Bingo takes place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday totaling 5 shows each week! This gives more than enough opportunities for us hibernating Michiganders to get out of the house for some true laugh-out-loud entertainment.
I was lucky enough to attend Drag Queen Bingo while Sabin was hosting and boy was it a treat. Sabin had a magical way of poking fun at the crowd while also having a big heart for them too. I laughed harder than I had in a while that night. I also recently attended a drag brunch hosted by Sabin and my friends could not stop saying how funny Sabin was and how great the performances were.
I even attended one of Five15’s 12 Drags shows around the holidays and I kid you not, Sabin danced through the energized crowd inside the venue right out into the streets of downtown Royal Oak. It was wild!
